
Five other centres, that had shown great strides in revenue, impact and mobilisation, won the entrepreneurship award. These were Wadsa (Maharashtra) , Wanaparthy (Telangana), Bhawan (Uttarakhand), Ratneshwarpur (West Bengal) and Shamshabad (Telangana) centres.
Award presenters included Mint Editor Soumya Sarkar, Senior Manager Wireless Reach at Qualcomm Anirban Mukerji, Helpage India Chief Executive Mathew Cheriyan and DEF Co-Founder Shefali Chikermane. DEF Co-Founder & Director Osama Manzar made the closing address, congratulating the winners and motivating them to continue their trailblazing work.
CIRC Awards recognises those centres that showcase exemplary work at the grassroots level for leading positive transformation in the rural and semi-urban communities of the country. The aim is to identify and felicitate those unsung heroes from the CIRC family who extend beyond their capacities to work for the upliftment of the underserved, help them connect with mainstream progress and improve lives.
