“My name is Meenakshi Singh, and I am a Class 12 student. I joined the Digi-LAMP programme in 2023 to improve my digital skills. Before joining, I had only basic knowledge of using digital devices. Through the programme, I learned how to use computers, browse the internet, send emails, and work with digital tools like Microsoft Word and Google Docs.
This year, I have been learning web design, which has been a new experience for me. I have understood what a website is, how web pages work, and how to build simple websites. The practical sessions have helped me learn better because we get to apply what we are taught. Every session gives me an opportunity to learn something new and improve my skills.
I would like to thank Harmony House, Luminous, and the Digital Empowerment Foundation for giving me this opportunity to learn skills that will help me in my education and future.”
Meenakshi’s experience reflects how the Digi-LAMP programme is equipping young people with practical digital skills through hands-on learning. By building confidence in using technology and introducing learners to emerging skills such as web design, the programme is preparing students for further education and future employment opportunities.
