“For four months, we did not receive our social security pension and did not know why it had stopped. We were worried because the pension is important for our daily expenses and medicines. At the Digital Wireless Ecosystem Centre, our documents were checked, and we learned that our Life Certificate had not been submitted. The SoochnaPreneur helped us complete the process through eKYC and submitted the required documents. We are grateful that our pension has now been restored. We thank the Digital Empowerment Foundation and Arjun Dhakad for their support.”
— Mr. Jogadiya Bhilala (68) and Mrs. Bhuri Bai Bhilala (63), Chandanbhet Village, Guna District, Madhya Pradesh

During a field visit in Chandanbhet Village, DEF identified that the couple’s social security pension had been discontinued because their digital Life Certificates had not been submitted. They were referred to the Digital Wireless Ecosystem (DWE) Centre in Bhidra Gram Panchayat, where SoochnaPreneur Arjun Dhakad verified their documents, completed their eKYC, generated their digital Life Certificates, and facilitated their submission to the Gram Panchayat. The intervention enabled the restoration of their pension and reduced the need for repeated visits to government offices. The case shows how local digital service centres can improve access to government entitlements by addressing last-mile service delivery challenges and supporting rural communities with timely digital assistance.
