The programme started with four project presentations from two ITE Kendras — ITE Kendra Alitengani and ITE Kendra Juria. A total of 50 students from 6 different schools participated in the exhibition, where they showcased their projects and explained their concept to teachers, parents, community members and peers.
Meanwhile, in Saidanpur (Uttar Pradesh), 14 government school-going children were identified and awarded with free tuition assistance. These students were from Classes III to V and came from very poor families. Despite sharp brains, they weren’t getting enough attention to grow into smart indivdiuals. Project Baank-e-Loom staff in Saidanpur will take tuition classes for these children at the centre premise.
In Halduchaur (Uttarakhand), the local CIRC organised a Bal Mela at the centre where students, teachers and parents participated with great enthusiasm. Games, sports and cultural activities were organised at the centre for children to celebrate their special day. A Bal Mela was organised by CIRC Abu Road (Rajasthan), too, on the occasion. Several other CIRCs celebrated the day in their own way.
