Mrs. Sharda Sandeep Pawar, a resident of Paithan, Maharashtra, has been engaged in Paithani weaving with her family for the past eight years. By sourcing raw materials directly from Bengaluru, she has been able to maintain the quality of her products while reducing production costs. However, the absence of a physical retail store limited her ability to reach more customers.

To strengthen her business, Sharda took part in digital and business skills training, where she learned to use WhatsApp Business, Instagram, Photoshop, and other digital tools to promote her products. She also received training on improving her business practices, including marketing, branding, and reaching new customers.

After the training, Sharda began promoting her Paithani sarees through digital platforms and connecting directly with customers beyond her local market. The use of digital tools has helped her expand her customer base, improve product visibility, and strengthen her family’s livelihood while continuing her traditional weaving business.
