The Digital Entrepreneurship Development Programme for artisans and weavers of Tamil Nadu brought together over 30 artisans, SoochnaPreneurs, and District Coordinators representing 13 GI-tagged craft clusters from across the state. Hosted at the Museum of Digital Society in collaboration with DigiKargha, the programme focused on strengthening digital entrepreneurship, storytelling, and market access for traditional artisans.

As part of the programme, participants also showcased their work at the GI Artisans Fest, a vibrant cultural gathering featuring artisan-led stalls. The festival celebrated Tamil Nadu’s rich craft heritage, including Thirubuvanam and Salem silk sarees, Kandangi sarees, Athangudi tiles, tribal pottery and embroidery from the Nilgiris, and painting traditions from Thanjavur and surrounding temple towns. Beyond celebrating these crafts, the event provided artisans with a practical platform to apply the digital marketing, branding, and storytelling skills gained during the training while engaging directly with visitors.
